My 5 year old student, Cody, whom I also consider to be my adopted grandson is quite adorable but he does keep me on my toes! When he knocked on the door at the end of a virtual meeting I was attending I was excited as any grandmother would be that my colleagues would meet Cody “in person.”  

He is already somewhat quasi-famous within my circle of COLTs (Council of Love Teachers) as he not only helped demonstrate the COL 13 chakra system in a video I had made but he also attended a virtual class with me when I was babysitting him. I still remember how insistent he was to attend that class. I knew the COL energy was calling him.

But today, Cody decided to be shy and not say hello which was his prerogative as a five year old.  Oh well, maybe next time.

We continued on with his agenda as he excitedly showed me his slinky. Our game is that we like to see if the slinky will travel down the stairs according to the beat of various songs.  I asked, “Which song should we pick today Cody?” He answered, “A unicorn song!” I replied, “I don’t know a unicorn song. Do you?” “Let’s make one up!” Cody answered! And so we composed “Cody’s Unicorn Song.”

We were both happy with the song and loved making a video but I didn’t give it more thought until my next student came wearing a unicorn necklace. Wow, I thought! The theme of the day must be unicorns!

And then I realized the theme really was unicorns! We who are Council of Love Teachers or COLTs for short, call ourselves unicorns! We think of ourselves as prancing, frisky Unicorn Colts bringing the COL messages and energies of Love into the world! 

Even my meeting was about the workshop I will be presenting at a Council of Love  virtual gathering. Cody was quite fascinated with the space backdrop that I will be using. I guess he will want to attend the workshop too as it is all about the magical secrets of the universe which kids just inherently know  already. They are actually our best teachers!  

Of course I am going to share “Cody’s Unicorn Song” with my fellow COLTs. Maybe it will even become our theme song! That would really be magical wouldn’t it!
