We didn’t know his real name but Earl seemed to fit. And so Earl became our neighborhood cat. We are used to having neighborhood animals on Rockwell Way. We still love to talk about Rocksie the Owl and her babies and of course our rooster who still visits occasionally!
Earl’s home was in the bushes near Jamie’s house so she was the primary one to feed him. She even made sure he was vaccinated. Sometimes he would stay in Jamie’s porch. But the rest of the neighbors always loved to visit Earl and also feed him. He would happily come running when called to be petted and would purr away!
It was clear Earl had been living in someone’s home but with no microchip or claim to ownership after months of living in the bushes, we all knew he needed an inside home again. And so we all chipped in to get him to the vet who declared Earl healthy and between 3-6 years old.
With an agreement with her parents that it would just be temporary, Juliana began fostering him until a home could be found. Of course Doggy Bella made friends with Earl right away!
I so wanted to take Earl. Afterall, I haven’t had a kitty now for a few years. And Earl is the most loving, sweetest kitty just as my beloved Keshet was! There is just something so magical about him, of how he touches every person ‘s heart when they meet him! But with all our traveling and with some of my piano students highly allergic to cats, it just isn’t meant to be.
But we all know Earl’s forever family is just waiting for him! A family where Earl can spread his Love and Kitty Magic, not only to his new family members, but to everyone he meets!
Perhaps, dear reader, his forever family is meant to be you? We would love to have you meet Earl! Or perhaps you know a family who would love to welcome a new fur-baby! And then, I can put the most beautiful ending on Earl’s story which will of course be a new beginning for his lucky family! Just let me know and I will put you in touch with Juliana! And would you please share this? Thank you!
💕Love, Lee, Earl and the Neighbors in Heritage Square in West Boca Raton. 😻
