Here in the US, we celebrate Mother’s Day on May 12th this year. I still remember as a child asking my mother when Children’s Day is. She replied, “Everyday is Children’s Day!” My mother hasn’t been with me for the past three years, at least in the physical realm. But the reminders of her are always present and especially when I use her beautiful dishes to set tables.
I didn’t even know I could create a tablescape until 15 years ago when my sister and I were planning a surprise for my mother’s 75th birthday. We wanted to have beautiful tables with centerpieces, the whole nine yards, as she always did, but we had no idea of where to start. Somehow I just knew what to do and my first tablescape was created. My mother was not only thrilled with her birthday present but also that my love affair with creating tablescapes began in earnest.
Although I didn’t inherit my mother’s talent for painting or drawing, her artistic genes still seem to be present as that is what a tablescape is for me, a work of art. And I certainly love the process as much as the finished table!
It wasn’t until a few years ago that I discovered that a tablescape could also be created as a prayer and radiate out Light. It just needed my intentions and co-creating with my Council of Love partners, Light Beings in the heavenly realms.
The very first one was co-created with AAUriel when there was a drought in Australia. The silver represents AAUriel who comes with the color silver and who was working with all our prayers to bring the rain. The placemats and middle dish represent the raindrops. The flowers on the dishes and napkin holders represent renewal and new growth from the rain. The blue represents water and the Divine Feminine Energy.
I certainly have been creating many Peace Tablescapes! I always love using a special dove my mother gave me. There is a whole story to that…. The Broken Dove
Here is the last table I set for my mother, for her 86th birthday, a mother and daughters’ lunch for three, my mother, sister and me.
My mother always loved giraffes so after her passing, I set a special table for the family.
I just had a wonderful idea! Maybe I will create another table for Mother’s Day that she can enjoy from heaven. And my mother can be my spiritual partner to create it! My intention will be that it radiates out to the world a Mother’s Love!
Happy Mothers Day to all!
Love, Lee
P.S. Here is my mother, sister and me in 2012 enjoying a tea party together. Cinnamon and Candy enjoyed it too!
I couldn’t find pictures of that very first table for my mother’s 75th birthday. But this one was for her 80th birthday when my sister and I hosted a lunch for her.
Happy Mother’s Day, Lee! What a lovely photo of your mom with your sister and you. You both look like your mom. I’m sure she would love to help you with putting your tablescapes together. Just ask her to join you when you are making them. I’m sure she will give you some excellent ideas and share her excitement with you at being asked. I AM picking up. She feels excited to help you with the tablescapes and loves her great-grandchildren when they visit.
Love and Blessings, Lins xxx
